Held annually in March, the Macy’s Flower Show involves more than two million flowers from all over the world. This free event includes special events and gardens featured.
The Macy’s Flower Show first occurred in New York City in Herald Square, in 1953 and consisted of fresh floral arrangements on display throughout the store of Macys. Since then, the use of freshly cut flowers in 1974 evolved into a living garden with potted flowers and plants, a concept that is still used today. In this exhibit can be found gardens with specific themes such as the “garden of orchids” and “Asian Garden” which use plants and flowers from all over the world.
Macys store at this event turned into a beautiful flower garden to celebrate entering the spring with all the visitors. Do not miss the opportunity to visit Macys between March 24 and April 7.
